Leone
Castell Anderson won first place in both the 10th Annual Highlights
for Children Fiction Contest and the Florida Freelance Writer's
Picture Book Competition. Her short stories have entertained
children in the pages of many magazines, including Jack and Jill,
Junior Scholastic, Wee Wisdom, Highlights for Children, and Golden
Magazine. Her many picture books are popular with young children.
The Wonderful Shrinking Shirt is a favorite with librarians as
a storytime selection, and Learning About Towers and Dungeons
is a thorough and entertaining exploration of a fascinating topic.
Leone lives in a renovated schoolhouse with her husband, J. Eric
Anderson, an architect and accomplished watercolorist who painted
the cover illustration for Sean's War.
