Leone Castell Anderson

Leone Castell Anderson is an award-winning author whose work for children has appeared in numerous magazines, including Children’s Playmate, The Friend, Golden Magazine, Highlights for Children, Instructor, Jack and Jill, Junior Scholastic, Scholastic News Journal, Wee Wisdom and more. Her stories and articles for adults have been published in the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Daily News, Christian Science Monitor, Lady’s Circle, Music Magazine, Elmhurst Press, and Stockton Herald News. Her awards include first place in the 10th annual Highlights for Children fiction contest and first place in the Florida Freelance Writer’s Picture Book Competition.
     She is also the author of the following books for young readers: How Come You’re So Shy?, My Own Grandpa, Moving Day, Western Publishing; Christmas Handbook, It’s O.K. to Cry, Child’s World; Surprise at Muddy Creek, My Friend Next Door, Dandelion House; Learning about Towers and Dungeons, Children’s Press; The Wonderful Shrinking Shirt, Albert Whitman Publishing; and a story in the anthology, Farmer Featherwit, Highlights for Children.
